This role includes weekly teaching, including but not limited to adult and teen classroom presentations,teen leadership programs, group classes, and parent workshops. The Health Educator II manages the distribution of materialassistance and education incentives, aswell as assistthe Education ProgramManager with other education and clinic needs.

TheAdvanced Practice Provider is a licensed medical provider who is not aphysician but performs medical activities typically performed by a physician. Thisposition is an APP (Advanced Practice Provider) which will be either a NursePractitioner or Physician Assistant in the role. The APP must hold a currentlicensure in the State of Texas and is responsible for managing the care of andaddressing the health concerns of the women who come to The Source. This careis in accordance with State and Federal rules and regulations and the medicalstandards of care (assessment of health status, diagnosis, development of planof care and treatment, implementation of treatment plan, and evaluation ofpatient status). The APP will collaborate with the Medical Director(Supervising Physician) according to state laws and regulations. The APP willalso collaborate with other members of the staff and healthcare team to providehigh quality care.
The Sonographer is responsible for providing an initial scan to determine fetal viability, i.e. IUP, cardiac activity, and gestational age to patients in their first trimester of pregnancy. Additionally, the Sonographer will perform a scan for someone who is late to care if indicated by the clinician. The sonographer will also provide a proof of pregnancy and provide support and resource information (including The Source resources/programs and resources in the surrounding community) to patients as needed.
The Patient Advocate has responsibility for daily crisis intervention support for clients of The Source. They will conduct initial intake appointments, discuss pregnancy options, and provide referral resources and follow up support.
The Medical Assistant (MA) is responsible for assisting Providers and Nurses in providing care to our patients. Their duties include recording and updating medical histories and contact information in patient files, and performing standard care procedures like drawing blood, checking vitals, or collecting lab samples. Additionally, the Medical Assistant will provide support and resource information (including The Source resources/programs and resources in the surrounding community) to patients as needed.
