Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse with a current Texas State Board of Nursing license.
3+ years of clinic/hospital experience, preferred.
CPR certification as a healthcare provider.
Social services experience, preferred.
Fluency in Spanish, preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Office computer applications
Experience with Athena EMR, preferred.

Essential Job Functions
Perform start-of-day and end-of-day protocol for mobile unit
Evaluate and educate patients for need to seek higher level of care and assist patients in follow through as able.
Provide patient education on topics related to fetal development, pregnancy and STIs.
Follow up with patients as scheduled or as needed regarding concerns or questions they have about medical services (ultrasound, STI test results, etc.).
Assures accurate implementation of clinician’s orders and plan of care.
Administer medications and mitigate potential medication reactions.
Provide options counseling and answer questions.
Participate in hiring, training, and supervising mobile clinic staff and volunteers.
Conduct regular inventories and ensure mobile unit is stocked will all needed supplies.
Maintain a working knowledge of nursing methods, principles and practices in relation to the prevention and treatment of diseases, safety and infection control, clinical systems, supplies and equipment in relation to obstetrical and gynecological care.
Conduct intake appointments, pregnancy tests, STI testing, injections, and resource referrals
Support current community partnerships and assist in fostering relationships with new partners to grow the reach of the mobile clinic
Ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines, infection control guidelines, all accreditation requirements, and grant requirements, reporting any issues to the Austin (I-35) Clinic Director
Attend staff meetings
Assist in special events, including annual fundraisers, Source 101s and church presentations as needed
Establish positive working relationships with staff members and volunteers
